Volunteer and Friend
Betty joined our Volunteer Family at Fenelon Court LTC Centre in 2004. Her husband, Hugh was a Resident there and after his death she wanted to still stay connected with the Home. We were delighted to have her. Over the years she has volunteered regularly where-ever needed, including the Tuck Cart and later the Tuck Shop, the Book Cart, helping with the Thursday Church services on Thursdays when needed, and most recently helping Lorna Jackett with 'Sing along with Lorna'. In all of these activities she incorporated Friendly Visits. The Residents always enjoyed their connections with Betty. As Volunteers we spent many very pleasant occasions together, whether it be an Appreciation or an Educational Event. Conversation with Betty was always enjoyable and interesting. I also appreciated her willingness to be flexible, her communication with me and her thankful spirit and positive outlook. Betty will be truly missed. Thank-you Betty for all you have given us and how you enriched our lives.
