Wilkinson: Beatrice Elizabeth (Betty) – active spinner and handweaver (both artist and instructor), died peacefully on December 25, 2012, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Betty Wilkinson, of Rosedale, Ontario, had reached her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Hugh Wilkinson. Loving mother of Bruce Bending (Carol) of Moses Lake, Washington; David Bending (Ginette) of Reno, Nevada; Scott Bending (Mari Ann) of Vancouver; and Barbara Dayes (Don) of Sparks, Nevada. Inspired grandmother to 5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Devoted cousin to Jill and Mark Starkey and their children, Susan and John Bean, Fran Carswell, and Judy and Bruce Crezel and children. Betty will be missed by her step-children: Frank, Edward, Colleen, Dan, Lyn and their families. The family of Betty Wilkinson will receive friends Saturday, January 5th, at Christ Church of Coboconk, in Coboconk, ON, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a traditional Anglican service and then a reception at a location to be announced. Cremation will occur later, with private interment in the spring at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Verulam.
